Yes ,without a problem.

No. You can get a government move upon separation but not before a deployment in anticipation of separation at some future date.

Hello Rocky,
NO. You are deploying not making a PCS (Permanent Change of Station) so you don’t get a household move.
If I understand your question you are deploying overseas. Then, you are expected to return back to your current base when the deployment has ended. Then, you will separate from your base.
What I don’t understand is WHY you are willing to extend your enlistment to deploy for 12 months to the Middle East?
You are under no obligation to extend your enlistment so that you can deploy. If the Air Force tapped you with the minimum of you having 12 months remaining then you must deploy. I see no reason for you to deploy if you are sure that you are going to separate from the Air Force after your 4 years are up.
You have over 3 years in the Air Force now. Who told you that you must extend your enlistment to deploy?
Do you WANT to deploy and leave your family behind for a year? Do you want to go to the combat zone just so you won’t have to pay income tax for the year? Is it worth it?
However, you may be offered an early out as the service might want to cut down the number of first term airman and save 6 months of PAY – which they do from time to time for first termers.
Think this one through. Any extension past your regular ETS (Expiration Term of Service) must be to YOUR benefit and not the Air Force’s benefit. The AF had their chance to deploy you while you still had retainability for the deployment.

Larry, you are a douche. If this is airman who wants to extend to deploy with his buddies and his unit to execute their mission, the mission that they have been trained to do, how dare you try and talk him out of it. You claim to be a former senior NCO, but I doubt it; you sound more like Cindy Sheehan.
And to the asker, the military will not move your family prior to deployment. You can move them whenever you wish, however, it will be on your dime. I would suggest that you finish your deployment and move the family when you separate.
Good luck on your deployment.

For separation from military they will usually move you, but if you want them to move your family home when you are deployed, no. Since you’re being deployed and not separating, then no they will not move your family home.
However, if you’re separating once you return, THAT’S when they will move you back home.
